Default Please Help Me Understand

I’m new to the world of vintage (Parker) guns. Looking at the two guns, below, the price difference is around $400. They appear to be very similar wrt condition and configuration. Given that one is a grade C and the other a grade G, I would have expected a larger price difference. Educate me!

The C grade has been altered in that the engraving and gold inlays on the trigger plate are not original. At least I would say No Way.

The GH is original completely. But the price on that gun is pretty high for what it is, I think.

I agree with Brian, original condition vs redone and probably enhanced. However, both are very nice looking guns and the heart wants what the heart wants.

Brett, come to the Southern SxS in late April and you will be blown away by the opportunities to buy the right gun for you, quite possibly including these 2. Plus, it’s a blast.

I’m technically challenged but if you google Southern SxS you’ll find it. It’s near Sanford, NC the last Thursday-Sunday in April. Come join us. It is an unmatched opportunity to view and handle an amazing array of beautiful guns and hopefully find one or two that check all your boxes. If you have any questions about the event folks in this group can surely answer them.

Thanks very much! It did occur to me to look.. after I made that post.

It sounds like great fun. I’ll try to make it out there.
