Early 10ga. Back Action Lifter
Here is Parker #46…a 10 gauge with 30” laminated steel barrels. I am very excited about this one though there are a handful of condition issues. I do like the engraving on the gun, especially on the top tang and the trigger guard. The only serial numbers I could find are on the barrels and receiver. I didn’t see any serial numbers on the forend, wedge, or the one hammer I think is original. The locks are rebounding so it may have gone back to Parker at some point.
The big issue is the left barrel has a small hole 4” from the muzzle in addition to heavy pitting in both bores. The left hammer is a non-Parker replacement. I need a new lifter button screw and forend tip. Someone tried to re-fit the barrels, which are now loose.
One question I had was could the barrels be sleeved in 12 or 16 gauge? I would like to give this gun some attention/restoration and am interested in suggestions.
Thanks,
Jay

More pictures...also no proof marks or any marks for that matter on the barrels other than the serial number on the lug.
