I could be wrong, but this shell box appears to me to be something considerably older than the James P. Hayes experimental pump gun of 1910-11, discussed on pages 462-4 of The Parker Story.

I dont yet own The Parker Story but does anyone have any pictures of experimental Parker shotguns? Do any still exist?

The Parker Story only shows some of Hayes' drawings for the pump shotgun.
I do not think anyone knows of any existing prototypes still being around. I asked the Hayes family about it when I met with them last year and they did not know anything about it.
