was there ever a 8 frame gun made by the parker boys.. charlie

No, Parkers which have an 8 stamped on their rear lug are late guns that have gauge markings. The 8 is a gauge marking.

Well, truth be told, I wasn't sure so I looked it up. Towmotor Corp introduced the first forklift truck, in Cleveland, in 1933, so it could have been close to the end of Parker, in Meriden, at least.

Bill, are you aware of any actual Parker 8 gauges with the 8 gauge stamping on the lug? I thought the gauge stamping came after the demise of the Parker 8.

One of my neighbors here in Maryland has a late Grade 3 hammer gun with the "8", the first I have seen. I have the serial number in my files, but not handy.
