I sent them an email asking if the wood was cracked due to the gap, and about the grade. The woman who replied said the following, copied and pasted:
We are aware of this and have changed the ad. There are no cracks or splits in this stock. The stock is proud on the right side and separated on the left. So there you go, no problems with her at all.
