Default Parker produced Laminated Barrels

Had a question that I was rolling around in my mind,

Of course I could research the TPS, but I thought, it would be easier to just ask

Furthermore it has been a little slow around here, not sure where everyone is hiding

Does anyone own or recall seeing and 8 gauge with Parker produced Laminated barrels

Thanks,
Stan

I have not, though I have seen them in 10 gauge, 12 and 16 gauge. I have a 12 D-grade and a 16 D-grade.

Thanks Dean,

I was dreaming of 8 bore through 20 gauge with beautiful Laminated barrels

The search continues

As I recall, one of our members has a grade 2, 20ga gun with Laminated barrels. I can not recall if it was a lifter or top lever.
Only because my TPS was at arms length away, I looked, and saw there were a few Grade 1 and 2 8ga guns with Laminated barrels.

I have a 12 ga G grade and a 10 ga D grade. Breck is redoing the barrels of the 12 ga now. He previously did the 10 ga barrels.

Were the serial numbers of those guns in the range (later 1877, 1878, and early ‘79) where they might have been Parker-made barrels?
My 16 gauge D-grade is an 1881 so they may have had a few sets of Parker-made Laminated Steel barrels still in inventory.

Thanks Edgar,

Now to find one, that will/would be a find. The 20 gauge end is covered, now we need to find a 10 gauge and find the highest grade affordable in other gauges and an 8 bore.

I am just ryig to remember and may well be wrong, but I thought TPS stated that they were not used on Gr 1 guns. Of course, they also were supposedly not used on highere grade guns, but I have seen several. I always believed they were used somewhat interchangeably with damascus because Parker likely had a high opinion of their in house composite barrels. The D grade 10 gauge I have is listed as Damascus in the serialization book but has original Parker Laminate barrels. I have read of others similarly listed.

The majority of the ones I have seen lettered as Damascus barrels... even the two that I own.
