are you reblueing or just touching up?

touch ups are simple -degrease the area ( and don't touch that spot with bare hands after degreasing) follow the instuctions


a whole blueing job - clean off the old finish (they make blueing removers)and polish the part (barrels?) if the metal finish is good to start, I buff with 400- 600- and 1000 grits -then degrease and degrease again - same as above - no bare hands now.

apply in a smooth long stroke - let it sit per instructions - buff lightly and reapply

repeat until the finish gets to where you want it.

mostly - a good result is the result of proper prep work and cleanliness - then patience
