Some info, guys--my 1909 PH 8 gauge has an marked weight of 9 pounds, 1 ounce (36" bbls.) My 1892 P, top action hammer 8 is marked 7 pounds, 6 ounces (34" bbls.) Additional info and supporting Austin's struck to unstruck analysis, the PH os 88.2%, the P top action, 84.7% and the DH 84.8%. My guns, in general, appear to run a little heavier (struck to unstruck) than those in Austin's analysis.
