Pete:
One of the great bodgery pits for the gun tinker is ejectors! If you don't have professional experience, please don't try to disassemble them. If you can get the iron/ejector unit out of the forearm, try soaking it in solvent overnight -- or ultra-sonic cleaning. If it still doesn't perform, take the gun to a qualified double gunsmith. Don't attempt repair yourself. How can I be so sure? I've been there. Many years ago! |

Getting the forend iron out is not too much of an issue. Sometimes it can be sort of fused I to the wood and takes some patience and gentil persuasion to get it out. You should be able to tell at that point if it is dirty or if something looks worn or broken. It could be either.
Taking apart the Parker ejector mechanism is actually not as difficult as others. That may be a good idea for my next photo tutorial. If I ever get another ejector gun in the shop again. |
thanks for the warning, thought maybe it wasnt to difficult after reading about it it faq,not going to take the chance on breaking something, will send to parker gunsmith
