my load is 40 grs bluedot and 1 1/2 6's out of one of my 10 ga's good out to 45 yds scott
4 1/2 drams of 2F black powder 1 1/2 oz of #6 for the 10 gauge.
Inside of forty yards I like a nice full/full with #6 or #7 1/2 shot in anything but a .410
Head & neck shots only boys - the only way to kill a big turkey without making turkeyburger injected with wads of feathers. |
From the backdoor, I like my .410 Lefever with #4.
From the upstairs bathroom window, I prefer a 45gr .22LR |
i also like the short ten in the oldloads of 1 5/8 oz in no 4 or 6 shot.... charlie
if i hunt with the old 12 ga i llike the old loads of 4 drams and 1 1/2 ounce shot in no5 lead.... charlie

Good luck to everyone. My season starts next weekend and looking forward to trying out my new/used PH. Here is a photo from a hunt at the Webb Wildlife Center in Garnett, SC, a few years ago.
