2 old timers , looking for a home
Hi everyone, I would first like to congratulate you all on a wonderfully informative forum. Thank you!
By a strange set of circumstances I now have two old Parkers that belong to an ailing friend, whose spouse is looking to me for some guidance, in helping her sell them for a fair price. I know that without pictures it is very difficult, but being primarily a rifle, pistol and japanese skeet gun guy, never even owned a side by side I'm at a loss even in guestimates. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Pictures will follow shortly I hope. 10 gauge 39604 Damascaus steel matching # on forearm, barrels , flats of receiver, no finish left except for a grayish overall finish no patina. It has a dog head butt plate and non descript pistol grip cap. Bores are rough, hammers are not matching. nice wood stripe grain stock with the parker medallion 12 gauge 43064 twist steel matching # on forearm, barrels flats of receiver. No finish feft same grayish as above . It has a steel butt plate and a Parker bros pistol grip cap. Bores are rough , hammers not matching, stock is of a lesser wood also with medallion. Any and all advise would be appreciated. Thanks Nick Scarcella |
They sound like parts guns, 100.00--250.00 is my guess. Dave

I would not go so far as to call them "parts guns" as they might be viable shooters.
Pictures will help and rough bores mean different things to different people. I know a guy who will shoot anything and I wouldn't even begin to think of doing it. These don't sound like high dollar guns but they are worth something more than $250 I'm guessing. |
I agree with C.O.B.

doublegunshop.com offers a "For Sale" forum where the seller is asked to give $10 to the website as a fee. Only if you can figure out how to post pictures will you succeed in selling these guns. Another choice is to tell us or them where you are so you can sell them face to face.

Russ just sold a HD trap, hammer gun for 605.00 on GB. I don't believe it had any mismatched parts.
