Serial number question
I'm sure this has been asked and answered many times. How accurate is the Parker serial number list found on the doublegunshop.com site? And do the Parker numbers just run consecutively regardless of model, etc? Trying to get a date of manufacture for my SC trap. Thanks...

Phil, all you have to do is go to the PGCA home page and on the left you'll see Manufacturing dates by S/N. Just type in the S/N and you'll have your answer. The list on doublegunshop.com is very general and not very useful.
Parker S/N's are not dependent on grade. You can have a VHE and the next S/N is for a AAHE. |
And to farther answer your question Phil, Single Barrel Trap guns were numbered right in line with the rest of the doubles.
The ONLY overlap in any serial numbers were in the first few variations of Parker doubles made from 1866 to 1869. |
Aha! Thanks!
