No Mark it's called trolling. Hoping someone will stumble on to one of his jewels while surfing through Gunbroker to find the finest restoration in the land.

That's what I tought at first! Then, Dave reminded all that it was April Fools day.

Isn't TROLLING illegal?

bft: just curious, how many legs do you have? six or eight?

David Holes 04-01-2012 09:58 PM

Ed, that should make a wonderfully nice addition to your collection.

Well, there's nothing "right" about it as far as an original Parker goes but it is a purty gun with nice wood, though the bbls would look far better in black and white vs browned.... Funny he says there has been no gunsmithing done when it's a total restoration and has Briley 20ga tubes in it. Do they just slip in and out? You can see the floorplate shrinkage from the recasing, but I've seen FAR worse on a gun Trigg had that he eventually gave away to some deserving friend.

george: interesting fishin analogy...what you are sayin here is too lure em with somebody else's bait, hopin they will see yours as well and like hit better? dont seem to me like you would catch many fish that way. what has been your experience using that technique?

Time for a serious albiet a novice question. I have heard a lot about Briley tubes. How the heck do they work. I asume it is to allow you to shoot a gun with to thin, unsafe Damascus barrels? What secures them in the gun? I would assume you still would want to shoot low pressure shells to keep from pounding the wood.

Somone please educate me.

Thanks!
