just good natured ribbing, at least from me. I think I have looked numbers up for you before, and will again I have the book, and may as well use it. And I once posted the same request from my phone from an antique shop, and thanks to a response came home with one of the earliest hammerless guns (at the time it was the lowest listed in the parker pages, but as soon as I said that someone listed a lower number  ) I also passed on an early hammer gun with 28" barrels that I thought must have been cut, got home, looked it up and it was righteous - went back the next day and it was gone :banghead: so - since the book is not a pocket sized paperback- folks - some who have the book, will keep asking |
The serialization book contains a wealth of information beyond just a serial number lookup. It is a miniature synopsis of Parker information. It is the best source of Parker information for less than $300.

I travel a good deal, and sometimes ask when I am “away from my book”, and try to make up for it by answering when I can.

If you own a phone and/or a computer and a credit card the book can be on its way in 5 minutes.

I think if your away from your book and ask for a look up which is fulfilled you should make a $25.00 contribution to the PGCA in the name member who did the look up. Just say'n.

If someone wants a look up and I see it I will gladly look it up. It cost me about a minute of my time and if it helps out that's great.
