hinge pin is the pivot pin when you open the action. and fore stock i'm pretty sure is original has checkering but just bearly visible still and the metal part show same number as receiver and barrels.

That one photo showing the whole gun is pretty poor. Fuzzy. Hard to see if the forend has any checkering and the shadow on the hinge pin makes it look like it is missing. I thought the same thing at first look.

It would be nice to see better pictures of the areas in question, like the area where it LOOKS like the hinge pin is missing.

I think this gun may be chambered for 2 9/16this does this mean I need to shoot the 2 1/2 from rst rather then the on the shelf 2 3/4?
