It's an old saying. Haven't you ever heard someone say "Annie Oakley was a crisp shot". Stevens even made a .22 called the Crisp Shot.

Hi Mike ,Yes ,I have heard of Annie Oakley being a crisp shot ,No I have never heard it said ,I swapped my barrels and had a crisp shot :rotf:!!!!!!!! That one got past me some where !

Yes "chokes" is why I would want to be able to swap them.
The VH has 28in barrels Cyl and Imp Cyl Probably been cut.
The Trojan barrels are Mod and Full
The Trojan has absolutely gorgeous custom stocks and I might not want to use it in certain settings. The VH wood is a bit more aged.
I believe I have read that the dolls head did not really make much difference as far as function. And I have read that many old timers ordered guns specifying NO dolls head or rib extension.
Thank you.

I go along with Edger's thoughts ---If you want to shoot an open choke gun ,use that gun ---if you want to shoot a fuller choked gun ,use that gun----Why in hell put the WRONG barrels on a frame that was NOT designed or fitted for those barrels and in turn look for trouble ???? Not something I would even think of doing .

Thank you for your input Allen. I am not sure why the hell I considered it.
Just playing around and the other barrels fit nicely with the exception of the dolls head and a fleeting idea of "What if I could" so rather than doing something stupid I simply asked on this site for input from experts of Parkers.
When one seeks knowledge one asks those who know more than you.
Thanks again.

Dale:
Do not take me wrong-------My question is simple-----WHY ???? I understand trying something , but if you blow up a gun trying it, then you have nothing. Not worth the agony. Plus ,you could get hurt .
