do you fellas have any suggestions on making decoy crows these are my thoughts...i m wondering if i could cut some some crow like figures from card board and paint them...also wondering if a old black rag or dark cloth just wadded up and placed on the ground...fellows im open to suggestions any and all appreciated.. charlie

they used to make cardboard goose decoys that were two silhouettes connected at the back. you put a stick on the inside across the bottom to spread it out to a more 3D affect.

with crows being a little smarter the the average bird brain - that might give you a better look.

Charlie, crows have pretty keen attention to detail. I have shot crows over home made sillouettes and I have had them flare over the same. You don't need a lot of crow decoys to be successful, 1/2 dozen will do. Get some good full body decoys. The new Carry-Lite's are too big and bulky, stay away from them. Flambeau is about the best out there for the money.

This is a good price, buy the dozen and you can then sell 6 on Ebay.
