Today I took the 101 Winchester 20 gauge away and told Nicholas it was Parker 12 gauges or stay home. He bitched all the way there but the results were good and I let him drive home:)..... He still likes the barrels stacked but if I let him drive he will shoot what I think is best. I figure I have about 2 more years to play this game but it is fun.

Patrick: Not only do you let your son hunt with a classic gun but you let him drive a classic truck. I'm guessing 71 or 72 CST Chevy or Maybe GMC. I have owned a few and not a better truck built. Thomas

Good for you Pat!

Nicholas, if you happen to read this - I hope you carry on the Parker tradition in the Lien family. There is no better gun to shoot than a classic old Parker - "The Old Reliable".
To carry one proudly means you have a deep and abiding respect and appreciation for things made in America by craftsmen who had a very strong work ethic and took ultimate pride in their work and the product they made. You might not be right in step with today's hunters and shooters but they will admire you and your Parkers and you'll feel really good inside for it.

Well must of been weather. There wasen't any chicks at harvest to speak of. We had a lot of old birds at one point but they seem to died. This time of year I count phesents on the way back to town in the evening just for fun lot of times double digets and its only 6 miles. This year I don't even see one every day. I'm just going to let my boy shoot a few don't know how many i'm going to kill gotta to leave some seed. I think they need to lower the limit. Chickens and Quail seem to faired better. I'm lookin into buying some Quail to train my dog with. When I was drilling wheat I grease in the morning my dog hunts all the time I'm stoped I seen him flush 1 bird. Hope its not as bad as it seems. Best ch
