Just started collecting Parker’s and don’t do much bird hunting other than dove since we don’t very many other options now a days in East Tennessee but have always loved hearing my grandfather talk about days when used to could. Anyways could anyone point me in the direction of someone that’s good to go with up north somewhere that I could finally experience hunting wild grouse and such over some pointing dogs with one of my lovely Parker’s so can post some pics here lol? Any help is appreciated!

Sincerely, Samuel Bishop

Hello Samuel - There are several good outfitters in northern New England, upstate NY, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota to choose from. Reports from northern Maine and New Hampshire have been good the last few years while my section of VT has been sharply down…

Get in touch with some of those outfitters - I’m sure you’ll find some to your liking. I’ve never hired an outfitter or guide so I can’t give any recommendations.

Samuel:

I can recommend highly veteran Maine Guide Mark Kingsbury, (ex-USAF Military Police). Off season he field trials his English Pointers.

Met him up country 12 years ago, and have hunted with him several times.

Home: Frankfort, Maine tel. no.: 207-249-5977.

Thank you both for the info it is greatly appreciated! I would love Maine to do it in Maine as that’s my favorite place I’ve ever traveled to so far but don’t think my uncle will want to drive all the way to Maine…was hoping for maybe more towards Michigan or such if anyone has any recommendations for there or around that general area. I will try to push him for Maine though
