My laptop has been down now for almost 6 weeks, my IT guy still thinks he can fix it, but I just want to buy another on the black Friday sales. I have barely looked at the forum as I find it tedious on the cell phone. Going to post some pictures of the beauty of the UP first then some hunting pictures. The first one is special to me.

I had the shooting "yips" up there. Don't ever remember struggling so much before. Working my way out of it now on pheasants.

Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures Harold, I’m glad to see you’re having a great time.
Makes me want to get up there one of these years:whistle:
PS A curious mind wants to know if that tire plug is still holding?

Thanks for the great pics Harold! My favorite is the one with the grouse with fanned tail and the gun laid across the stump! Have to try the UP!!

Thanks to Big Jim Justice, Governor of WV who pushed for quail releases on the WMA's.
3 birds is the daily limit. I can see why my friend Garry Gordon is so fond of quail hunting. Not a Parker, the gun is a little Grade 2 Ugartechea 20, a very nice light 20, sadly Ugartecheas no longer made, I have a 12, 20, and 28.

Birds were all in extremely dense thickets of Autumn Olive
Moved alot of birds, but couldn't get shots at them. Would have been hard to even see a pheasant getting up in that stuff, let alone a little quail.

Harold, I was wondering how your hunts had been going, so I was pleasantly surprised to finally see your post. I'm sure those photos are filled with great memories that will be cherished by you for many years to come, but I do see why the first one is a favorite.
Good to see you found some quail(!). You'll have to tell us more about your WV quail when your technology is "fixed." The hardest bird to hit in my experience is a wild Bob in grouse-like cover (we call them "woods quail" here in Missouri).
Thanks for sharing your photos!
