I have an inquiry regarding hard travel cases.

A couple of States that I either hunt or drive through to get there have passed laws requiring a firearm to be transported in a locked, hard case. In the past, I just put my shotgun in a canvas and leather slip and kept it out of sight.

I don't want to use the typical sporting goods/Wal-Mart generic plastic hard case because they are too long and says "firearm" to anyone looking into your vehicle.

I was looking at the Negrini compact cases, and was wondering if anyone has or uses them and opinion? I drive a Chevy Colorado with a crew cab, and it would be placed behind the front seat(s).

Thank you in advance for any info.

Here is a very reasonable one that should meet all requirements.

I have a 7 year old Negrini 2 shotgun breakdown case that has a lot of miles on it. It fits either under my rear seat or in the lockable underdeck compartment in the rear of my Ridgeline. It has served me well.

Americases, Nasco cases, Anvil cases, and the best of all, the Aries case, used by four gun skeet shooters until they got too old to carry them, are the best and safest cases made. Watch the obituaries. I have a bunch of them, but won't ship them. There is an Anvil case on ebay right now, but the others can probably only be found on gun sites. They are all out of production now.

I have a compact Negrini case for my MX-8 Perazzi, and love it. Three combination locks on it. I bought it new when my old Perazzi hard case bit the dust.
