Could someone tell me if a wood set from a 1-1/2 frame gun would interchange with a #2 frame gun?

From a basic standpoint, yes. The width of the stock head is the same on those two frame sizes. That does not mean that it will actually work for you due to the hand fitted nature of each gun and the variation that that creates.

Thanks Brian. What about the forend wood? I wasn't sure if the forend iron was more narrow where it meets the receiver on the 1 - 1/2 frame gun.

Harry, there’s no single dimension that differentiates the frame sizes - it is a combination of the various dimensions.

These dimensions are all compared on a chart in both “The Parker Story” as well as in the Serialization book.

Here are the two charts we use in determining frame sizes and the dimensional characteristics of each.

Thanks Dean, I don't have ''The Parker Story''To compare these frame sizes, some day I will pick up a copy of it.

Harry

The 1-1/2 frame is a mashup between the 1 and 2 frame.

If you want tour very own copy of TPS, I can sell you one.
