There was a Pheasent shoot at Prospect Hall today . I borrowed a gun cart from a friend so I could take my DH 12 pigeon gun and Brutus (the 8 gauge) . The birds were high and in the wind literally today . On my first peg I was able to knock two cocj birds down with Brutus . I think I knocked down 12-16 birds with both guns combined of which perhaps six were done in by Brutus .

I had a rather nice Grade 1 top lever 10 gauge on a 4 frame with 36” barrels in my hands today . Gun was made in 1891 , I’d liked to have brought it home . But asking price and my pocket change didn’t quite meet :rotf:

Craig and Charlie, I handled the 36" grade 1 ten gauge yesterday. It is about the highest condition hammer gun I've ever seen, and the heaviest. I don't know the price, but I think it's off the charts.

Let me just say the price on that gun is in 8 gauge territory . Gun felt very nice when I threw it up even if it were a skoosh muzzle heavy . Think I was told the letter said it weighed right at 11 pounds .
