Enjoyed three days of hunting at Bulldog Camps near Jackman ME. Our stay surpassed expectations and our guide did a wonderful job getting us on birds with his three English Setters. Great dog work, great friends, great hunt for birds on the wing. That’s what it’s all about.

That is a nice looking cabin. Great to find a nice place to stay in good bird country.

Corey what are you shooting and how long are those barrels? They look longer than your typical woodcock shotgun.

I had my VHE with 30” barrels. I have a second set of 26” barrels for that gun with more open chokes but that combo works for me and is what I’ve typically brought out in the field. We were hunting grouse too and a few of those were longer shots on birds that weren’t holding long so was pleased overall. I’ve also used that one on quail in GA. If it’s not broke...

Hey long barrels don't offend me! I love them!

It is interesting. I started Day 1 with the shorter barrels and I’d spent some time on the skeet field with ‘em but somehow I feel more comfortable with the point and swing of the 30’s. The shorter barrels definitely would have been easier to maneuver in the thicket.
