First off it was a Springerpallozza and one English Cocker....

Something smells here....

The front Springer is the father of the rest of that clan....But Merlot the Cocker is willing to hang with them.

Took along a young newbee on his first Grouse hunt....and his dog "Bull" put up the first Grouse for both of them....

As an aside, "Bull" has it all, and them some....Excellent plus nose and a hard flusher...

His Dad also had his pup "Jack" who put up his first Grouse and Woodcock that came back down...

Merlot with a Bird after when we went back to the truck and brought him out
to find a downed Bird, when one of the pups couldn't figure it out....and then on the hunt....

Years ago, I was pretty heavily involved with Springer Field Trials. What's the breeding of those good-looking pups?

My Bud did the hookup..."Bull" came out of a trial guy in Ohio, but I don't know the lines.

Merlot the Cocker came from Emily Williams in Georgia....

Ed Roggenkamp? He was a big player years ago, but has been out of the game for 30 years
