My buddy Dale was on fire today. He shot a Remington 1894 B grade small frame12, followed up by his VH 12. I started with my Sterly 20, then a DH 12, finished with my trusty VHE 12. The morning was cool, but the shooting was HOT!

I'm dysthymic over the lack of dove hunting in Kentucky the last several years.

Our favorite sunscreen is called, "Shade of the Mesquite Tree". We also use that awning you see in the pics. It's an abandoned calving area. It depends where the flights of birds are. It's a great set up! There are a couple other PGCA members here who are familiar with this area.

You two must be eating dove three times a day.

Only twice a day Harry. I take some to work, give some to my folks, and still have around 120 in the freezer. I'm making dove enchiladas this week. It's going to heat up soon, we may not go as often.

I’d like to get out there in mid January to mid February for two weeks just to shoot Eurasians . But if I were able to do that in the magnitude I’d like , getting the breasts frozen and then driving back to Virginia might be a problem . I certainly enjoy the shooting but the last few years the dove have become more about the meal later .

It's been a couple years now since we saw you. I'm sure you saw and worked on the D grade. I ended up buying it from Phil, or an acquaintance of his. I ground a Silver's pad for it, great shooter! You may have to plan a 2020 trip to Arizona Chris!
