Yes there is water in Nevada this year. This is a photo of my Damascus 12 ga. with 3 drams of FFg BP under 1 1/4 oz. of #4 Bismuth. OGD duck one shot.

Good job. Had lived in Reno for 18yrs. Hunted the green head club a bunch. Didn't have a Parker back then. Do now..thanks for sharing.

I thought that at first by the looks of the wood. Couldn't make out the checkering on the forend. The more I looked, the more engraving it seemed to have. My eyes are not as good when using my phone to view the postings. I'm very fond of the early and pre1900 engraving. Nice job, great gun!

The best part is the Bismuth shot load that I put together; very effective. We ate duck and Hungarian Partridge for dinner last night. My wife made a demi-glase cherry sauce after we brined the birds and barbequed them for about a half hour. I told my wife that this would be about a $300 dinner at any up-town restaurant and she told me that it was closer to $400 when you consider the motel room, gasoline, and breakfasts on the road that I had.

Great hunt and pictures! I am hoping to do some black powder Parker hunting this year as well.

Is the 1 1/4 oz of bismuth #4s by weight or volume? I was thinking volume, but figured I would ask.

Thanks,

Jay

I have been here for 40 years and never have hunted GHC. I discovered this pond in the mountains last year and vowed that I would be back with an antique shotgun and a duck stamp. Well it worked.

The 1-1/4oz. load is by volume using a dipping tool.

Yes. I refinished the stock this summer. I bought it at an auction. I am convinced that if I had not purchased it; it would have gone to the junk pile.
