Damascus Movie on DVD

I ordered "the damascus movie" on DVD -- paid with PayPal and waited. It's been two weeks and I've emailed and used the contact link -- no word back from them

Has anyone else tried to order this DVD?

I ordered this several years ago. Amazing movie and a wonderful step back into time. I do not remember how I paid for it, or how long it took to arrive, but it is well worth the wait.

Thanks for the link. I had searched YouTube but failed to find it. Heard he had copyrighted it. Having the link almost makes up for the $50 I wasted!

I wonder if these buildings still exist.

i would not be the least bit surprised - we rented a house for a stay in Belgium that was built in 1673 - still maintained and in great shape

when we were in Scotland we stayed a few days in a small village where all the houses were stone, we mentioned to our host that we lived in a stone house in the USA and he asked when it was built. We told him 1830, there was a pause and then he said "I don't think we have anything that new here" :rotf:

if the building is sound and usable- its still there

I really enjoy watching this film and am glad it was made & still around for us to have some insights of how Pattern welded barrels were made.

One of the things that jumps out at me is the lack of showing any flux being used during the welding process, plus only places in the film where scale removal is shown. I wonder if they just didn't show these in the film or if these old world masters knew how to get around these processes to prevent inclusions & delamination's.

You have to descale and flux to get a good forge weld -- they just left that part out. After all it's not an instructional video, it's just showing the basics

It's been 3 weeks now and still no DVD. I've sent several emails to the seller, Peter Mikalajunas. Nothing. Seems like it's a rip off, don't order the DVD!
