Trigg just sent me these. He was out around some park near Palmer, 40mi out of Anchorage and the boys found a bird. Not sure if he got a flush or not. Will update when/if I learn. His setters are excellent dogs and work very well together.

Awesome!!! That sickle tail dog sure looks a lot like Old Patches and Patches was a good one. I had her mate Ginger. Ginger was not as good. She trailed a lot and that was a waste of time. Great memories nonetheless. Georgia is not the quail capitol anymore. I've not heard or seen one now in years. I do remember Ginger doing a good job while hunting in snow. That picture has stuck in my mind for about fifty years. She just went from one bird to another. No memories of birds killed so I guess it was all about the dogs.

The lighter colored dog is a pup and will solidly honor the other from 25yds out sometimes. Awesome to watch.

Great picture of Beautiful dogs doing what well broke dogs should do. Im just as proud when one of my dogs honors another dogs point as when they initiate the point.

So true. Watching a dog or dogs do their work is the most enjoyable part of the hunt for me. My "pup" Charlie had an awesome season and now I wait 9 months for the next. Charlie is 9 and not showing signs of slowing up and I'm not looking forward to that. She will be my last bird dog and she has become a joy to hunt with. Cheers, Jack
