First Grouse Limit of 2015

After an abysmal grouse year in 2014, its nice to see the birds are back. Finally managed my first 2015 limit of ruffs on an evening hunt after work today...hopefully this will whet the appetite of those still waiting for their grouse opener in other states. Today's grouse medicine was a restored VHE 16 that swings like a 20 and swats them out of the sky like a 12. I can't wait to get out in the alders again.

Our season opened here in the UP on Tuesday the 15th. Still lots of leaves and wet weather, but the birds seem to be up. I also have a Yellow Lab who is chomping to get back out.
