I am posting a photo for Scott Kittredge. Seems he has an GH with a finer pattern of damascus than usual. In the picture is the fine pattern GH on top and a more common pattern the GHE below it. Anybody know if that pattern usually goes with a higher grade gun and what the pattern is?

That's "fine Damascus ". I count four blade croille, instead of the normal G grade 2 blade. My count may be off. Others count blades better than I do.
Certainly a bonus for a G grade. With some Gs you get mismatched barrels. My speculation is that those barrels were in stock and what was grabbed at the time.
Nice.

The tubes may also have been sourced from different suppliers or barrel-makers.
Most Damascus barrels I have seen on Grade 2 Parkers were 3-blade or three-iron crolle.
I have however, seen Grade 3 Parkers with both three-iron and four-iron Damascus barrels.
If memory serves, the two-iron barrels were on much earlier hammer guns.
These are just my opinions taken from years of observation.
