I have been trying to kill a turkey with my 1875 #2 frame 12 gauge Parker hammer gun since last turkey season. I did not get a shot last year. I have to have the bird come within 35 yards to be confident of a kill. My low pressure loads (7300 psi) of 1 1/8 oz of 6's will do the job out of the tight choked Parker. I heard 2 gobblers at 6:50 am and by 7:20 this one was on the ground. I am glad I finally got one with this gun since it weighs close to 9 lbs.
Mr. Parker made guns to last.

Asa,
Good hunting and shooting. I have gone a little 10 gauge Parker crazy and love to shoot them. My 1 1/8 oz load is about 2000 psi lower than yours with 7625 and I use 4756 for the 1 1/4 oz loads. Again, congratulations on your Parkered turkey.

Yes, congratulations!
You must live in one of those wonderful places that can still be called America.
If I held a shotgun displayed like that here in Massachusetts I would be converged upon from all angles by cruisers, sirens awailing, lights aflashing and officers with weapons drawn and I would likely be charged with "brandishment" because it didn't have a trigger lock in place.
God Bless the America where you live.

Dean, if you will look closely, Asa's name is on the door. I'm sure the local LEOs are on good terms with Mr. Kelley.

Bill,
My brother is an attorney and he took some of the pictures. I rent an office from him.
