I know all love the 0 frame Parkers, especially in 16 gauge. I do also but tend toward Fox and Lefever in small bore guns. This is a Fox CE 16 gauge which Daniel Aubihl of Sycamore Ohio restocked for me using 100+ year old circassian walnut. The result is not only beauty but a magic pheasant killing wand worthy of Merlin himself!

Also in the photos is my big Radar who is 13 years old and still hunting and little Aspen, a spicy blond bitch at a year and a half. Aspen in one of Stu West's pointing labs.

Since I took the trouble to interrupt my Radar and Aspen's hunt to play with my pocket miracle (smart phone for you smart aXXes) I might as well share with with you!

Nice Mark. Please use your photo expertise to show some close-ups of your CE. Pup is looking good as is Radar. God bless him- still going strong at 13.

Great looking gun. Which club were you hunting?

Eric,

Funny you should ask. That is the preserve near north of me which I invited you to. Did you notice the rows of native switchgrass where roosters try to hide from my dogs? :) Hey, did I mention that there in no extra charge for shooting extra birds. On our last two hunts I paid for a total of 10 birds and bagged 16.

16 ga Foxes are wonderful, I have 3, 2 SW's and an A grade. They are as nice to carry as my 2 O frame 16 Parkers My male setter Shiner, will be 13 next week, and I killed 2 pheasants over him yesterday. He has a good motor in him for 13, but was pretty stiff this morning, but rarin' to go again. Although I am a setter lover, you just cant beat a good Lab on pheasants.
A C grade 16 or 20 Fox would be on my bucket list.
How do you transfer pics from your phone to the forum--have been taking pictures with my new android phone cause my pocket camera went thru the washing machine--camera ruined, but the SD card with 800 photos still good.
And yes, more close ups of the Fox.

You guys fixin ' to bust some clays or some birds this weekend? Rich, I remember seeing that very nice Fox 16 at Hausmann's--what are you having done to it? I have been getting out at least twice a week, and the smoker is filled with pheasant and grouse as I type this on Christmas morn. A very nice 10 pt was taken during deer season.Pictures of it later.
Have a great shoot/hunt this weeknd, and Merry Christmas to both of you.

Sorry Mark, once things get started downhill, it is hard to stop them. The power of gravity! How about another 16 Fox, an A grade to appease the gods.
That's my new pup Fancy.

Harold that is a post deserving of this thread. It's hard to beat a small bore AH Fox for upland game!
