should a 12 gauge DHE serial 232304 supposedly 1929 have a DHBP that does not have a widows peak at the top of the butt plate? Also, a stock that has been shortened in a Remington era PARKER what would be the best way to repair the lop spacer or try to replace the butt stock? I'm at the cabin and wild birds are whistling outside will fall never get here.

George, a Grade 3 Parker customarily would have been made with a skeleton steel butt plate - unless a different butt treatment were specified in the order. Suspect the stock is a replacement? Please show pictures.
I go to "grouse camp" tonight but just for an 'overnite'..... *groan*

It looks like a replacement stock. The checkering border is not correct also. Ed

Aside from the restock, it is definitely a nice gun with what appears to be crisp engraving and loads of original case color.
Nice untouched screws too and milling marks on barrel breech face...... exceptionally nice.
I was the $2,000 bidder - I don't know who outbid me by a penny but I won't go higher - considering that if I were to win the auction I would want to restock it correctly and that would be some $$$$$.
Others may be satisfied with the stock that it has.

Who would be able to do an acceptable restock and at what cost

Chris Dawe, Brian Dudley, Brad Bachelder, there are others and you'll need to contact each of them for prices.
