today i got the 11 ga..i deemed it safe to shoot so i got a coupla low power 12 ga shells out and desided to shoot it..well she shoots good although the shells swell some in the gun makes unbreaching the gun a little stiff..it has the decorbonized barrels to me they look a whole lot like the plain steel barrels that i have..now if i can find a shell or 2 in the 11 ga to go with the old gun i will be happy.. any of you other boys out there with them 11 ga ever shoot them..charlie

Charlie, Is your gun chambered for the 12-a brass shell, mine is, gary

The 11 gauge shells are impossible to find, I've never physically seen one other than a single photograph. The 12A brass shell do turn up if they'll fit in the gun.

gary i do not no if a 12 a shell will fit this gun or not..i read in the parker pages that they built some chambered for the 11 b shell and the 12 a paper shell i must admit that i m kinda confused about all the a and b s in these shells.. destrey i have never seen a 11 ga shell either other than a picture i believe in another post someone stated they had a box of 11 ga shells..maybe they will speak up..these early lifters are pretty unique to me but i must confess the later lifter model is the better gun but compared to a muzzle loader its a great gun.not throwing off on muzzle loaders...charlie

Charlie, Something to look at while you have your morning Java, Parker 11-B, 12-B, 12-A, 12-A with large diamond head stamp, 10-A, also a 4" UMC #12, and a Remington 14-A There are more but do not want to mess up your day, double click since the light was not good when I took these photos, Gary

gary thanks for a look at all these cool shells..i had to start mowing grass early so i had to wait till now to see these fine rare examples of yours...now to ask a question which shell is the largest a 12 a or a 12 b.. charlie

Charlie as they say a picture is worth a thousand words, the shell on the right is a 12-B inside a 12-A snug fit but will go inside a 12-A So the 12-A is a little larger, Gary

Very interesting. I have a few old Parker brass shells that I will have to look at closely. I seem to learn something new every time I'm on the forum.

I would be surprised if RMC couldn't help you with some lathe turned brass.
