I wanted to share a unique double with you.
I purchased this little 20ga ejector gun about 30 years ago. Although I dont hunt with it as much as I used to, it is still one of my favorite guns due to its lightness, barrel length and engraving. The engraving motif is not what is usually seen, and I have never seen another like it except in an old 1906? Trade catalog. It was listed as an FN gun and had the exact same engraving.
This one is not marked FN any where on it, so I'm a bit puzzled about that.
I especially like the evil eye on the bottom plate and the stylized bird on the trigger guard.
Here are the specifics:
Maker: J. Schnorrnberg & Fils (sons)
Guage: 20
Barrel length: 28 3/8" (appears to be original)
Barrel Steel: Special Gewehr-Lauf Stahl (also marked Fried.Krupp. AG Essen)
Chokes: IC / light modified (not original)
LOP: 14"
Drop: 1 1/2, 2 5/8
Weight: 5 lbs 10ozs
