I have a friend that has a 12 gauge Tolley hammergun with fluid steel barrels .
The second saturday of dove season here in Virginia he was shooting the gun when the under rib on the gun let go .
Hence his barrels and my VHE 12 barrels are at Gaicamo's getting resoldered etc .

Was it a jones underlever?

I have a Tolley double rifle in 500 black powder express with a Jones underlever. The gun was refinished in England in the 70s and looks like new. It's a hammer gun with the powder charge engraved on the side of the action. Bores are perfect with the deepest rifling I have ever seen on a gun. I believe Tolley was a Birmingham manufacturer.

Craig;
That would'nt happen to be Bill Sanford's gun, would it? That man could flat out shoot that Tolley.

Yes sir !
I was at his dove field the second saturday of the VA season . He was about 50 yards from me and came walking by saying he had a malfunction !
I assume his Tolley should be back and running in a few weeks I hope . As well as my Parker !

If the truth was known, Tolley made the guns or at least a lot of the parts, for most of the big bore hammer stuff that came out of the UK no matter the makers name.
I owned a Tolley hammer gun for a bit, sold it to a friend in England about 10 years ago. A good gun, very plain, but very solid.
