Here is my favorite season pic thus far.., My son Justin (far left)with a few of his friends last week on the Chesapeake for junior hunting day. Limited out with their great shooting before 10am. Real proud of all the kids.. Oh,,,justin was using his 20 Ga VH w niceshot. All demonstrated great respect for safety and pride in their shooting and calling skills. They couldn't wait to get back to clean the birds for an evening feast which, I must admit was pretty good.

Wish I had more friends into hunting at 14. :-)

Now hook him up with some handloaded #3 Buck for that 20 gauge so he can pound one of those big Eastern Shore or Southren Maryland whitetails !

Great picture! Looks like they are hooked for life. Youth hunting days are a great idea. My son and I participated in one of the first youth hunts conducted on the Montezuma Refuge. The other great trend is the number of young ladies participating in youth hunts.

Looks like you all had a great time. Boy, Justin is really growing like a weed and sure looks proud. How's it feel to be out-hunted by a group of 14 yr.olds? What, not one of them shooting black powder?:) Good job buddy.

Great to see some young guys enjoying that Eastern Shore waterfowling tradition. I've been lucky enough to hunt out there a few times myself and will always remember it.

Thanks Guys for the replies. It's a great thing that will help keep the important things in life in a clearer perspective for hopefully many years to come (for both him and me).
