SASSS Shoot

Had a great time last weekend at the SASSS Shoot in southern Michigan. I've been wanting to do this for several years and finally made the trip. SASSS, or Society of American SXS Shooters is on Face Book and administrated by Dave Olshansky. He and his crew put on a great little shoot followed by their Bourbon Bonfire. Many PGCA members there including
Brian Hornacek, Dean Hanson, Dan Steingraber, Eric Eis, Alex Dawes , myself and others--crap, who did I forget?
I shot my NID Ithaca 16 Grade 4E, as the course was a bit too challenging for my open choked 20s. A really fun time, and stayed with friends Dana Farrell and Karen Chupa-Brueggeman who I met and befriended in the UP grouse woods. The blizzard that hit the UP and northern Michigan kept some away. Made many new friends.
Coming up is the Good Friday shoot at Hunting Hills outside of Waynesburg, Pa, as nice a shooting venue as you'll ever shoot. Then I'll be at Hausmans in June. Looking forward to seeing old friends there. Of course, I'll be camping an bringing the Gator.
