I always do a finish wiping with a synthetic cloth like ladies nylons (am I aging myself?) to get a lint-free and streak-free polish.

I use very fine cheese cloth. Place cloth over bottle, turn upside down, fold cloth so the wet side is on the inside. This way if there are any lumps of particles they stay on the inside of the cloth ball & don't get on the wood finish.
