Default The old man

Been enjoying seeing the recent posts of your dogs and thought I’d share. Been compiling photos of my hounds for a project I’m doing, more to follow regarding that.

Here’s my old man, Rusty. Turned 14 last month. Still pointing rabbits in the backyard to show me he’s still got game.

Deaf as a post, eyes are clouding, nose works great. Still drags me around the lake each morning on our walks.

And still putting birds in front of the gun.

Hoping to give him another season.

Enjoy your time with them. It’s precious.

Very nice pictures. I especially like the Red Sky pic. Good to know the nose is still working. That is all that matters! Get em Rusty.

Thanks Rick. That would be him pointing rabbits in the backyard.

Very nice! A dog on point is a welcome sight. A beautiful setting doesn’t hurt either.

My old female , Fancy ,will be 13 in July and she'll be hunting this fall. No, she doesn't run like she used to and points with a much lower tail, but can still get the job done.
