It's hard to get away from Annie's battery of guns - David Condon displayed one of her .22 target rifles at the MACA show last weekend; really a treat to see and handle some of her actual guns used in the shows over the years.

David Condon showed me the rifle that Kevin described. The error in the NSSA clip is that they stated that the 1901 Parker shotgun was used in her shows. Annie used rifles and pistols in her shows, and shotguns in normal competitions, and for hunting, like we do. Too bad the NSSA clip didn't tell us more about the gun. Unfortunately, the NSSA guys don't know much, if anything, about double barrel shotguns. They seem to be afraid to touch Annie's Parker.
Correction: After reading more posts in linked threads, it seems that Annie did in fact use shotguns in some of her exhibitions. However, most photos of her exhibitions show her shooting rifles. |

Then several years afterwards, my grandfather & father's blacksmithing business was contracted to make wrought iron extensions for the fence surrounding his grave. The original fence was short enough that people were crawling over the fence & damaging his grave area, my grandfather's spear like extensions stopped this from happening. This is probably one of the reasons why things Buffalo Bill related catch my attention. Let alone the Parker connection in this video |
