Default Glad I’m here

Hello all I’m a newbie from Ohio. SXS guy Kenny Graft got me into the doubles and of course I went down the rabbit hole. I’m a pheasant guide in South Dakota and run a string of labs. So far I have two reproductions a 20 guage single trigger 28 in barrels and a double trigger 28 guage 28 in barrels. And I have to admit I love the A.H guns also have a 16 guage A grade which I like as well. Glad I’m on board with you all and look foreward to meeting some of you in the future…

Default Dave Shillinger

I met Dave in my shop her at Shooting stars gun shop in Ohio. He arrived as a customer and left a friend. We have a lot in common as we are both dog men. Dave runs labs and I now have two young setters, so we really hit it off. He invited me to come out stay at the farm and hunt as a friend, not a paying client. I had a great time the week I was there and met several nice folks including the owner of the Farm I hunted. At the end of last season Dave was offered a head guide position at Scattergun Lodge that he has excepted. My love for double guns has worn off on Dave, I think because he was working my Ryman setter Daisy, running her e collar when I asked to switch places and I handed over my Fox XE-16 for him to use while I flushed the bird my setter had pinned. Picture of her pointing with a pup backing her. Dave downed the rooster with one shot, and the pup backing Daisy delivered it to her owner's hand. I did not know it at that moment, but Dave's gunning life had just changed forever! At the end of the season when Dave got home, he was ready to sell his two over-under guns and get a double of his own. I was happy to help him with the logistics, and he is now a proud owner of not one but three hi quality SXS guns. will add pictures later

Welcome Dave - You look very familiar... maybe it's the upland hunting garb
