I did not understand that the prices included the buyer's premium of 20%. Are you sure?

I did a long shot bid last week on that Lefever 8g. I bid $1500 figuring it would be low but one never knows. Maybe I’d get lucky? That gun went for $3000 which is cheap for an 8g! Anyone from PGCA win that Lefever??

I agree, but I’m gun shy relative to the 12 gauges. I try and chase down small bores and come up empty handed as it’s a game I can’t afford to play.

I was going to try to get into the small bore Parker game but decided I would rather have 2-3 nice original 12ga. guns to 1 small bore. In the end they will sell for about the same $’s

The VHE .410 skeet at $132,000 will make someone a nice quail gun.

Does anyone actually think this shotgun will actually be fired, with that kind of money into it?

Or carried through the brush with a risk of dropping it.

I wonder sometimes how many items in these auctions go home with folks who didn’t even know they wanted it. Specifically items that are already above the estimate after pre bid ends. Live bidding starts…cricket's…. Eventually someone bites and now all of the sudden 3 or 4 people are going at it. Seems like keeping up with the Jones.

I guess that’s one of the advantages of taking things to auction.
