Edgar,

I took the wood off both forends to visualize the lock up. I wasn't having any luck cocking the gun until I snapped the new barrels open holding it's forend iron. BINGO! All I had to do is open the action with a little action. I can't believe my luck to find a set of barrels that fit the action without modification.
