I just bought a mint, unfired 28 ga repro with 26-inch barrels for $5500. pistol grip, single trigger, splinter forend. not a bad price i thought

Single trigger, 26" barrels, deduct $3000 from a double trigger, 28" gun. Rarity and user popularity makes for big bucks in the resale market. Rarity is probably not a factor here, because probably as many 28" guns were made as 26" guns, but the 28" guns are buried in collections, because, you guessed it, user popularity causes 28" guns to be hidden away. They will come out, one at a time, for the next fifty years, but they will be expensive. I think I got this right.
