Awesome job Brian! The transformation of the wood on this one is truly amazing!

You mentioned you used a ground sealer coat. I'm not familiar with the term ground sealer coat. Is this a variation of the sanding-in method or something else. Would you be willing to share the basics of what your referring too as the ground method for sealer coats.

I am referring to the starting coats that penetrate, seal and fill the wood. Before finish coats are applied. The thin sealer is mixed with a colorant and allowed to penetrate for several coats. The same tinted sealer is wet sanded to fill the pores. A little bit of staining had to be used in the upper section to even out the color of some sap wood.
