I have a GHE 16 two barrel set that was shipped to Marshall Field then to Alex Kerr's in Beverly Hills.

When I was just a youngster I bought a Weatherby Regency O/U at the local Marshall Field store. My dad had to actually buy the gun for me and he was shocked that I handed him $800 for it.

I loved that store. Everything you needed was under 1 roof. And they were always helpful.

I assume with the setter, an open field, and a 28 the game was Bobwhite. They must have flown very high back then.

The 28 is special and good for most anything that can be hunted with a pointing dog.

I know that but if that is a game bird that has reached that height flying away the 28 may be at its limit; just thought the drawing was funny.

Rich, please tell us about that 250XXX gun - is it yours?
