You can find another. Some Mercedes models are lifetime cars, certainly the case with the mid 1980's 300 class diesels. A person who is handy and learns the cars can maintain them themselves.
Bruce, my last one was a 124 chassis 6 cylinder turbo diesel 300TD. I sold it with 250,000 on the clock and it's still going 10 years later. I just couldn't keep up with the rust.
