Thanks for the opinions and offers. I have a Silvers repro provided by one of our members and will see if I can get it to work. The screw spacing is right but I am a bit concerned that the screw plugs will be a bit overwhelming once I grind it to fit. I notice that the No Shoc has smaller bungs.
And after more careful evaluation it appears that the very slight curvature of the stock is at the end of the heel and toe so I think I will be able to sand it and possibly save the writing anyway.
